What is a life coach?
A life coach is a professional who provides you with support so you can meet life challenges from a position of strength, awareness, and self-confidence. A life coach draws on elements of therapy, guidance counseling, social support, and consulting to help you achieve your goals in your career or personal life.

The life coaching process begins with an initial consultation in which you discuss your past experiences and current goals with your The Healing Centre expert. Your life coach then helps you develop a personalized action plan.
Depending on your individual needs, your life coach may recommend therapeutic techniques that help you manage stress, relax, focus, and maximize your skills, such as peak performance or neurofeedback training.
How is life coaching different from therapy?
Therapy is typically an in-depth process exploring and processing past experiences that create current mental or emotional difficulties. Life coaching, however, focuses on an immediate set of goals and on creating specific strategies designed to achieve those goals.
Some of the goals life coaching addresses include:
-Job changes and other career goals
-Magnifying your personal strengths
-Major life decisions
-Improving work-life balance
-Improving your interpersonal relationships
Your goal may be very specific, such as a desire for an immediate promotion in your current job, or more broad, such as developing more definite boundaries in personal relationships.
