When should I seek help for my relationship?
The caring team at The Healing Centre encourages you to come in for a consultation if you know there are some struggles in your relationship. This allows your practitioner to help you learn ways to cope with stress and become a better communicator.
It’s particularly important to come in as soon as possible if you and your partner argue more frequently or if either of you experiences any of the following issues:
-Cheating
-Sexual dysfunction or frustration
-Physical or emotional abuse
-Substance abuse
-Grieving or loss
The Healing Centre can help you individually, or work with you and your partner together during couples counseling sessions. Sometimes both types of therapy are beneficial.
Who needs help with relationships?
Relationships aren’t always easy. Even the most seemingly flawless relationships take work. But, sometimes, there are extenuating circumstances or factors that put added stress on your relationship, such as:
-Losing a friend or family member, or former spouse or partner
-A personal history of physical or sexual abuse
-Combining families, as with a blended marriage
-Losing a job or starting a new career path
-Having children
These are just some of the common and entirely normal circumstances couples face that can alter the mechanics of a relationship. In any case, you don’t have to deal with these struggles alone.
